While it is a national initiative, the CFOJA recognizes the need to mobilize at the local and regional levels of the country to recognize the distinctiveness of the various groups and communities across Canada. The CFOJA is particularly concerned with mobilizing and working with local and regional groups representing multiple geographic and social identities in its efforts to track femicide and monitor social and state responses to these killings when they occur.

To achieve this end, the CFOJA collaborates with the multiple groups or organizations who have struggled for many years – and decades – to prevent male violence against women and girls and who continue to do so.
